Meet Martin

Martin Smith, Driving Instructor.

Martin is an ADI (Advanced Driving Instructor) and has a full enhanced DBS check. He is passionate about delivering high quality driving lessons to all ages in and around the Southwell area of Nottinghamshire. Martin is often described as a very patient, reliable and calm person. He aims to give the learner driver clear instructions and structured feedback to help know what they are doing well, what could improve their driving and how to practice those skills effectively. At the end of every lesson, you will be given verbal and written feedback to track and monitor your progress to help you to achieve your goal of passing your driving test as effectively as possible.

Martin is also a Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition leader and assessor for both the Bronze and Silver award programmes run by the Minster School in Southwell. He has been a volunteer for this programme for several years and it means that many of the local sixth form pupils learning to drive may already have worked with him. He is a dad of two children, both of whom he taught to drive (and passed first time!)
